New Delhi: College of Vocational Studies, a Delhi University undertaking, is looking to hire 106 Assistant Professors across 12 Departments.
A Circular was released on 16th March 2023 by the College of Vocational Studies on the college website, giving details about the no. of posts for Assistant Professors of their respective departments.
Timings: The Circular was Released on 16th March 2023, and the last date to apply for the post is three weeks from the date of publication of the notification or 15th April 2023, whichever is the latter.
Mode of Applications: Apply Online via Recruitment for Assistant Professor
Application Fees: A non-refundable fee of Rs.500 is to be made by the EWS/OBC/UR category. Application fees are exempted for Women, S.C, S.T and PwBD categories.

Pay Scale: Payment will be made per the 7th Pay Commission. The Post of Assistant Professor qualifies for Academic Level-10, so the salary range offered by the College is Rs.57,700- Rs.182,400/-. In addition to salary, you will be offered all the usual allowances Delhi University offers from time to time.

Qualifications Required: The recruitment/ appointment should be made per the Latest UGC Norms.
The Eligibility Criteria are:
Masters’s Degree with a Minimum of 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale or whatever grading system is followed) in a concerned/allied/relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign institute.
Clearing National Eligibility Test(NET) by UGC or CSIR is a must besides fulfilling the above qualification.
The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among the Top 500 world ranking(at any time) by any of the Three ranking issuers below:
(i)Quacquarelli Symonds(QS)
(ii)The Times Higher Education(THE)
(iii)The Academic Ranking of World Universities(ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University(Shanghai)
The Clearing of NET shall not be required for candidates in such disciplines for which NET has yet to be conducted.
Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree under the UGC Regulation, 2009, or the UGC Regulation 2016, and their subsequent amendments from time to time, as the case may be, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET for the requirement and appointment of Assistant Professor in the University.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided( From 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991.
For those entering the service in the College, other stipulations prescribed by the UGC/University shall be mandatory for all the posts.
The reservations for SC, ST, EWS, OBC(NCL) applicants and PwBD categories will follow Central Government/University Grant Commission norms.
